Rate updates don't go live without his sign off, and he's the one who reads the contact form personally when a reader flags something that looks off.
He doesn't put his name on articles. It shows up instead on the editorial standards page and on the methodology notes attached to each calculator, and if one of those formulas needs defending, he's the one who answers for it.
