Short version: the calculators run in your browser and don't send your numbers anywhere, the ads and analytics are the standard Google tools most sites run, and the contact form goes through a third-party mailer, not our own server. The long version is below.
Every estimator on this site (general liability, workers' comp, BOP, commercial auto, professional liability, cyber, EPLI, total cost) computes its result with JavaScript running on your device. Your revenue figure, payroll number, state selection, and every other input stay in your browser's memory for that session. Nothing is transmitted to us, logged on a server, or saved once you close the tab or navigate away.
On your first visit you'll see a banner asking whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under a key called cc-consent and is read on every later visit so you're not asked again. Choosing "Reject" tells Google's consent mode to withhold ad and analytics storage; choosing "Accept all" grants it. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for bizinsurancecost.com.
We run Google Analytics (measurement ID G-21KR7C9TXX) to see aggregate traffic patterns: which pages get read, which calculators get used, and roughly how people arrive here. This is standard web analytics, not a profile tied to your name or email. Google's own privacy policy governs what Google does with the data on their end.
Ads on this site are served through Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-9048547077838190). The ad script only loads after you've either interacted with the page or a few seconds have passed, and ad personalization is gated by the cookie choice above. AdSense may use cookies to show ads based on your browsing elsewhere on the web; Google's ad settings page lets you adjust or turn that off independent of anything we control.
Messages sent through the contact page are delivered via Web3Forms, a third-party form-relay service, rather than stored in a database we run. We use your name and email only to reply to whatever you wrote. Nothing from the contact form is added to a mailing list or shared with an advertiser.
