Free tools for estimating business insurance costs.
BizInsuranceCost exists because "how much will this cost" is a perfectly reasonable question that the insurance industry has spent about a century making impossible to answer without a phone call, your email address, and a follow-up from a specialist named Brad.
So we built the tools we actually wanted: free estimators for general liability, workers comp, a business owner's policy, commercial auto, professional liability, cyber, EPLI, and your total annual premium. Enter a few details, get a number you can put in a budget. No quote form standing between you and an answer, no "request a callback," no mysterious "starting at" price that triples once a human looks at it.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is stored, sold, or quietly handed to a data broker. We could not pull up your inputs if we tried, which is rather the point of doing it this way.
The figures come from published rate filings, industry data, and the underwriting logic carriers actually use. They are budgeting estimates, not quotes. A real premium still needs a carrier, an underwriter, and the traditional exchange of paperwork. Think of our number as the one you bring to that conversation so nobody can quote you double with a straight face.
Chris Terry founded BizInsuranceCost and built the calculators from the rate data up. Jessica Martinez writes most of the trade guides and cost breakdowns you'll find across the site. Both work under Encore Editorial; see the authors page for both of their backgrounds, or editorial standards for how the numbers get sourced and corrected.
